General notes for contributors in advance

Before deciding to publish, we like to evaluate your ideas first. We want to see if they're a good fit as a feature, article, podcast, graphic, video, or something else.

Contributions should be distinct enough from those of other contributors. We're looking for contributions that offer a fresh perspective and differ from what's already been published. If it's something we would write ourselves or isn't a good fit for our audience, chances are we'll pass. Do not submit unsolicited articles. Reach out with an intro and a short pitch first so we can provide early feedback. A proposal should answer a few key questions about the big idea, and the narrative detail of your argument. We'll need a full draft before officially accepting a piece.

We retain final decision rights over content elements like headlines, tags, thumbnails, etc. We ourselves would hope that a creator we work with knows best how to communicate with and engage their audience. If we make changes, it's to ensure your idea reaches the audience it deserves.

We love originality and authenticity. Your work must be unique, properly credited, and not overly promotional. If you have any financial ties to the entities you mention, we'll need to know. If you're into using generative AI, that's cool. Just let us know how you used them. Remember, you're responsible for making sure your content is accurate, truthful, and one-of-a-kind.

Thanks for considering contributing. We're excited about the possibilities!
